Famille Perrin

France - Rhone Valley

The Perrin family own a number of estates in the major appellations of the southern Rhône Valley and Provence.  They are world renown as a Southern Rhône specialist.  The most famous of these is the 130 hectare estate Chateau de Beaucastel in the Chateauneuf-de-Pape. The grapes are grown using traditional organic techniques supported by modern winemaking facilities.

The Perrin family also have a significant investment in vineyards in smaller communes in the Southern Rhône departing from the traditional negociant model and purchasing the vineyards themselves to better control grape quality.  Recent purchases include vineyards in the villages of Rasteau and Cairanne which complement their holdings in established communes such as Beaumes-de-Venise and Vacqueyras.

Brothers Jean-Pierre and François Perrin were joint recipients of 2014’s Decanter Man of the Year... “they have dedicated themselves to elevating the reputation not only of the Perrin name, but of the Rhône and it’s grapes, around the globe.”
“Purchasing a wine from this family is about as close to a guarantee of authenticity and high quality as one can expect.” Robert Parker Jr, The Wine Advocate.
